La provincia de Córdoba vuelve a estar en el centro de una operación internacional contra el contrabando de tabaco, según ha anunciado este martes la Guardia Civil en un comunicado.
En concreto, dentro de la operación llamada Lareira, en la provincia se han realizado cuatro registros domiciliarios, todos ellos en la localidad de Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo, que han concluido con una persona investigada.
Con todo, lo más importante de la intervención en Córdoba ha sido la incautación del material de contrabando, entre el que se encuentran nueve toneladas de picadura de tabaco, 47.000 cigarrillos ya elaborados, 13.337 euros en billetes y moneda fraccionada, así como diversa maquinaria para el procesado y picado del tabaco.
Esta actuación forma parte de una operación mucho más amplia, que ha finalizado con la acusación de 10 ciudadanos portugueses y la investigación de tres españoles (entre ellos el ciudadano de Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo), además de la aprehensión de más de 10 toneladas de tabaco picado, alrededor de un millón de cigarrillos listos para la venta, y diversas máquinas de producción y envasado.
La investigación ha sido desarrollada durante dos años, con el objetivo de investigar una organización criminal internacional, que se dedicaba a la introducción y comercialización fraudulenta de diversos productos del tabaco, controlando un circuito de producción, distribución y comercialización en el territorio nacional y en Portugal.
La organización contaba con un complejo esquema de producción, el cual además del envasado y comercialización, trataban de ocultar, tanto el contenido de los envíos, como las direcciones de los destinatarios y remitentes.
Durante la investigación, se realizaron 25 registros en Portugal, de los cuales 14 fueron en domicilios y 11 en establecimientos comerciales, en los distritos de Viana do Castelo, Oporto y Braga y 9 registros en las provincias de Jaén, Córdoba y Sevilla.
Con esta operación han sido intervenidos 144.000 euros en efectivo, más de 10.000 kilos de productos del tabaco, alrededor de un millón de cigarrillos, 12 máquinas utilizadas en la producción y empaquetado de productos de tabaco, más de 300.000 cajetillas de cartón impresas, con diferentes marcas de cigarrillos, varios modelos de impresión de tarjetas, con imágenes referentes a diferentes marcas comercializadoras de tabaco, 4 kilogramos de cannabis, diez vehículos, tres balanzas, un arma de fuego con munición, y varios soportes informáticos que están siendo analizados.
Se calcula que la organización ha comercializado productos del tabaco, entre Portugal y España, por un importe aproximado de 5,9 millones de euros, lo que supone un fraude, de más de 5,96 millones de euros en concepto de Impuesto.
